FCCB FILM FORUM

The FCCB Film Forum will gather on Saturday, November 8, at 6:00 PM
at the Burbank home of Michelle and Vin.

Bring a ready-to-serve potluck side dish to share, and we’ll meet for dinner, a screening of V for
Vendetta, and discussion. The movie is rated R for violence and adult themes.

It’s the twentieth anniversary of V for Vendetta, truly a film ahead of its time. Who or what is V? Victim? Villain? Vigilante? Vindicator? Inspired by the acclaimed graphic novel from Alan Moore and David Lloyd and brought to cinematic life by James McTeigue and the Wachowskis, V for Vendetta is a philosophical action-mystery-thriller that tells a tale of revolution and resistance in a totalitarian state that bears some eerily prescient parallels to present-day reality. Starring Natalie Portman, Stephen Fry, John Hurt, Stephen Rea, and the great Hugo Weaving as the enigmatic title character, V for Vendetta is
like a glorious mashup of 1984, The Count of Monte Cristo, The Phantom of the Opera, Zorro, and The
Abominable Dr. Phibes. See it for the first time…or view it again through the lens of our current age.
Space is limited, so be sure to RSVP ASAP to Info@fccburbank.org for the address and directions and so
that you’ll be sure to have a seat.
Hope to see you for another of our evenings of food, folks, film, and fun!
